Why nature play?
It gives children the space to move, explore, imagine, and learn at their own pace and without judgement or expectation.
Time outdoors supports their physical and emotional wellbeing, and most importantly allows kids to just be kids, filling their childhood with climbing trees, collecting treasures, and getting muddy.
Find your people
Every nature play group is a little different - use the map to explore what's nearby and reach out to them to discover if their values are the right fit for your family.
It may take a couple of visits or groups to find your tribe - and that's completely okay.
Story behind the guide
When I was a new mum finding my feet in motherhood, finding families who shared our values was hard. Nature play groups changed that. Through them, we found a community of friends whose connections have continued into our homeschooling journey.
We created this guide to help other families connect with each other, and our Earth.
